Step Up Your Game

As the title suggest, its also what I need to do right now.

Last night was not only a Jamming Session in the studio, but it was also a Jamming Session between my friend Shun and my guitar friend Ha0. Basically, when it comes to pursuing music? Ha0 is there to intervene somehow. LOL! In a good way. As I am really a "mommy's boy", ya I've confessed, I tend to not take risk. Those are the influence of my mom.

So anyway, we were Jamming with guitars, and some people do not call that jamming, but who cares. So Ha0 was playing all sorts of things, Fall For You intro, Hey There Delilah intro plucking, Your Call verse plucking, and all other plucking sorts. Shun? He just sat there and listen. Learn abit of guitar and beats (Coz he love the drums actually and was a little interested in guitar so he joined us, also, he missed Ha0, LOL!)

Me? I am the strumming fellow. I teach them a bit of strumming, teach Shun to play a decent song with 4 chords, yup, Apologize by One Republic. Its 4 chords actually, with no melody, just the core of the song. Perform Fall For You strumming and its in the Key of E coz Secondhand serenade the singer sings in Key of C and we would all waste our vocal chords if we imitate him. I pointed that out to Ha0. Hope he remembers.

Oh, I also taught them Wonderwall by Oasis. Strumming patterns for the intro only. They need a lot of work on switching chords. Me too actually, I tend to forget the chords when I sing and play. That was simply irritating especially when you're recording. Also, i do not sing with my original voice? So basically, all my videos on youtube are rather fake coz i'm singing in a key that is not my own, and I strain too much on my vocal chords until i would sing out of tune due to no breath.
Sheesh, so we did just that. Its really good to have friends who have almost the same passion in music coz they encourage you. As well as they will push you to succeed to learn new techniques et cetera. Ha0 wanted to attend that guitar course I mentioned which is for acoustic only, and I need to convince my mom to buy me one acoustic and get into the course which I tried. Only succeeded in making her think about it.

Most probably the chance is there. I'll be following Ha0 most probably, on Saturday to check out the guitars at Swee Lee shop. Was said they are having a warehouse sale. Going to check it out.

Well that's practically my whole yesterday. I've just talked about. What about today? Well, next post, after my work I'll probably write. LOL! Nothing happened yet today. Except if you count slacking in the morning...
