Recently, I've went to check out Peace Centre's Guitar shop called City Music. Its one huge shop.
Anyway, the reason I went there was to find a suitable guitar. They had guitars from Ovation, Custom Acoustics, Line 6 they sell keyboards too, KORG brands and many others. Then I saw the flier they had at the counter. City Music is teaching music too. So I decided to check it out.
Upon reaching, the staff there were a little lost when I started to ask questions on lessons and what do they have as well as the content of the lesson. So they introduced me to the head of the City Music School. His name was Jimmy. Now this guy, he's 50 yrs old. And boy his room, got a computer with an AMP for a speaker. Two acoustic guitars, two electric guitars, two keyboards in one room. And he even got a white board. And boy he was surfing youtube! LOL!
Anyway, this guy began to ask me what's my expectations and I asked if he can recommend a course for me. However, somehow along that line, he began sharing with me music in general. How is it that people always just want to play chords and never want to know how it came about. Just wanting to play it. He has a huge insight about music. He plays the guitar, the piano and even the drums! and he's 50 YEARS OLD!
Well enough said, the thing is, there I was seating and just listening to him. I feel my spirit inside began to ignite and now my fire to learn guitar began to spark. Piano... Is just too far away for me, but guitar, I feel that I can master it and other than that, I want to work on my voice. I really feel that my seriousness for music has gone up.
I had to cut him short of the conversation coz i had a movie to attend. But he taught me something before I go, however I won't share it yet until it works for me. haha... So keep waiting.
