Storyboarding, its not that Simple...

What have I been busy with recently?

Well, I had homework from my course on Film animation. Had to do something called Storyboarding. I'm not even halfway done! I only sketched a few panels and still have more to go. But it was fun. I mean, I felt like a director when I did those shots. However, my fleshly nature has been telling my body to go and sleep on it. Which sadly, I have been. I can't keep on sleeping on it! I have to get it done! Theres still Character Design to work on, Modeling, Animating. However all this cannot be done without a storyboard. FOCUS! Clement FOCUS!

Oh ya, what is storyboarding? Some of you who have already been through film school, you should know, for the benefit of all those NOT in film, which is the majority of my peers, lol, I shall explain.

Storyboard is the backbone of a film production. It contains pictures as well as all he information needed to get the story done. If the story is crap, its not worth showing anyway and it will be a waste of time to do the film, the storyboard is thus, the planning stage. Planning the script, manipulating the camera, the lights, the sound, the music, the effects, all these are written down and drawn out on a story board.

Yes tedious work. Sometimes I wonder why I like planning only in the area of stories... Hmm... Perhaps I just want to entertain. However, being an entertainer is not enough. I have other plans in store for my animation. Some may not understand and asked "Why animation? Why not just write a book or something?" Thats the thing, I can write, but not fluently, not with captivation like certain authors. However, i discovered that as I read, i have a rather pictorial image of what is going on. Some which I exercise a lot when I write my stories. Ya ta all story tellers do that.

I can't draw, neither can I write, but I felt that I can see a direction in movies that is my style that I know, film production is limited. All the things I envisioned are probably going to get criticize, but who cares. I am who God created. He has a purpose for me, I'm going to give all I got for this animation.

But wait a minute! I just realized I still had another Course to completer! Bioprocess technology... Maybe next time. LOL! I know procrastination... I shall start today then. *Sigh* Lots to do. Life is always this busy.
