That's right, I shall officially release the Popcorn Slammer Times. Its basically me, writing about movies so if you ever see the PST you know its time for movie review talks.
So for the first issue of PST! I have watched The Mist. It was Fantabulously scary.
Actually its not a horror movie, but its more like a thriller. It touches on the Psychological thinking of men when it comes to survival in dire situations. The Mist touches on, well, a mist that suddenly engulfs a little town which recently had a huge storm. The main character was David Drayton, an artist. He had brought his boy and his neighbor out to the grocer's to get some food for the aftermath of the storm and that store was really crowded.
Along the way to the store, the army trucks passed by and David started mentioning about the Arrowhead Project the army were working on and how mysterious it was that so many were posted there. Then when they were queuing at the store, all of a sudden a guy runs up in the street with blood on his nose and started screaming "DON'T GO INTO THE MIST!" Some people ran out of the store because their cars are out there, however the mysterious mist was so fast that it enveloped the whole store but the mist did not enter the store. However, the danger of the mist was why there were people screaming the moment they enter the mist.
So David was stuck in the store along with his son. His wife was near the lake where they first witnessed the mist and thought nothing about it. Which he dread for the worse the moment this mist came and took lives. Now surrounded by the mist, the people in the store were trapped and had to survive weird monsters and creatures as they invade the store one by one. The thrills is also when some had to get out of the store to get to just the nearby pharmacy. Indeed its something worth to watch. I can't say more or i will just make this review more confusing. Watch it for yourself.
In deed you can give Stephen King another round of applause for making a book so scary that it just had to made it on film. By the way, Stephen King is a Thriller Dude. I guess thats why i did not read much of his books. But movies derived from his books? I can handle it.
Rating is 5/5 Very good acting and plot.
